Natural outdoor yucca plant
Category:Natural Outdoor Plants
Description: The yucca plant belongs to the Agave family and is one of the most common houseplants. It can be easily recognized by its woody stem that bears a tuft of leaves at the top.
The genus Yucca includes about forty species native to the West Indies and America, and in nature they can reach large dimensions, up to 15 meters, while in homes they usually do not exceed two meters.
Watering: Yucca is very sensitive to water. Water the plant regularly in spring and summer, but make sure the plant has excellent drainage and dries out between waterings. Water sparingly in winter. Do not let the yucca plant sit in a container of water.
Light: Yucca plants thrive in full sunlight, so they are ideal for western windows. They also do well in bright, indirect sun. Growing yucca plants in low light will result in fewer flowers and thinner plant growth.
Features: Yucca plants are slow-growing evergreen houseplants that are highly drought tolerant and may die from overwatering.
